Be the first to hear of new books and offers
May has not been the most productive month for writing. There’s a couple of reasons for that, but I’m not here to list excuses. May is nearly behind us, so I’m looking forward to June where great things will happen.
The most important event will be finishing the first book in my new WWII series. I’m really close and might even finish before the month’s out, but we’ll see. Once I’m done with the first draft, it’s time to edit.
My process is as follows: read through the manuscript on my MAC and fix obvious problems and notes I’ve left along the way. I leave these notes to keep me in the writing flow…if I stopped to research every little thing at the instant I realize it needs research, I’d never get in a good writing flow.

Next, I send the manuscript to my beta readers…I have two. While they’re slogging through, I send the manuscript to my Kindle and read it again. For some reason seeing the book on my Kindle allows me to see more mistakes. Once I’ve gotten feedback from my betas and read through it myself, I send it off to my editor. She’s pretty quick, about a week and a half. I make her edits and consider her suggestions…then it’s ready to go.
While this editing is going on, usually in the evenings, I’ll be writing another book. I’ve decided to dive into the second book of the Korth Chronicles. Some of you might not know I have a second genre: Alternate history/sci-fi. The first book is called: Strike Force Red: The Korth Chronicles, check it out! It’s not too far from my WWII stuff.
So, by the end of June, I will have a new book published and be well into the beginning of another. I know it’s been a while since I’ve published a WWII book in the same vein as the 164th Regiment Series. I thank you for sticking with me and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with my newest addition to that genre!
