About Me
Gritty WWII Author
I write WWII fiction under my name: Chris Glatte and Sci-fi/alternate history under my psuedo-pen name: C.T. Glatte. If you like my WWII fiction, you’ll most likely enjoy my Sci-fi and vice versa.
I grew up playing ‘Army’ and reading war novels and comics. Baa Baa Blacksheep was my all time favorite T.V. show when I was nine and I was always the first kid to have the most recent Sgt. Rock comic. I still have a stack of war comics which I passed along to my two sons. The comics are tattered, worn and hanging on by a thread!
My first career was as a river guide/kayak instructor. When I decided having a family might be nice, I looked into a more financially stable job.
I already had a B.A. degree from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) but needed to specialize, so I got an Associates Degree in Echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound). I’ve worked in that profession for twenty-one years now. It’s been a great job, but it isn’t my dream job.
What’s my dream job, you ask? Being an author. Writing stories that I want to read; great WWII books with lots of gritty action.
This new age of publishing has made that possible! Now I write books and readers seem to enjoy them. What a wonder!
Thanks for your interest.
